Every year the Indianapolis Star recognizes a list of companies in three different categories, small, mid-size, and large, in the Indianapolis area as top workplaces. This year, in the Top Small Companies Category, Bailey and Wood Financial Group ranked fourth.
“This recognition means the world to me honestly,” Owner Mike Wood said. “Everything we do is for our employees. We strive to create a successful atmosphere where our people can not only be successful and earn great money, but also thoroughly enjoy their job and their co-workers. It is what separates us from most lenders and brokers.”
The companies recognized on the Top Workplaces list have been nominated based solely on surveys about the workplace completed by their employees. Top workplaces are not only better places to work, but they are more likely to succeed in comparison to their peer organizations.
“For years starting back in 2007, and during the most troubling times in our industry, we have strived to build something special. My people here and I are finally getting noticed for not just great production or numbers, but doing something great and showing that it can be fun and done the right way,” Wood said. I enjoy my people and it is very humbling and special to me to see they feel the same way.”
